Having been raised on early electronic acts such as Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream, brothers Vidal and Vangelis Vargas aka Raíz were part of Los Angeles' massive mid-90s rave scene. Disheartened by the lack of representation and knowledge of Detroit style techno at these parties, Vidal and Vangelis, alongside Moe Espinosa aka Drumcell, decided it was up to them to bring the music they love to the rave dominated Los Angeles underground. Together they founded the LA-based production crew Droid Behavior and are almost solely responsible for LA's now thriving techno scene.
